Description:
|
Examines the various processes and styles of songwriting and offers techniques and ideas for creating songs ranging from functional to original. You will explore the common factors in all styles of songwriting, and use them to bring out creative song ideas whether you have written songs before or have just always wanted to see if you could. A basic knowledge of music reading for any instrument and elementary music theory is recommended, but not required. NOTE: This is a non-credit section of an academic (for-credit) class. You will not receive academic credit if you sign up for this section. If you wish to enroll in this class and receive academic credit, you must enroll in MUS 106 instead (see academic enrollment process at www.frontrange.edu).
