Artists & designers! Learn how to professionally photograph your flatwork (drawings, paintings...) AND 3D artwork (sculptures, jewelry, mixed media...) for your portfolio, art submissions, or simply documenting your work using a digital camera or smart phone. In this new hands-on class, you will explore digital camera and equipment choices, studio lighting set-up, correct image exposure, and experimenting with lighting "moods". You'll also learn how to do an at-home photo studio set-up, photographing at location, and other tips and tricks to make the best photos of your work. You may have the opportunity to use your own camera and photograph your own work, so bring 1-3 pieces of work and/or a digital camera (recommended but not required).
