This course uses mindfulness techniques and behavior change practices to establish new habits and routines while breaking old ones. We will explore each other's food culture, which is defined as the foods we enjoy, our family food traditions, and cultural preferences. Instructor Julie Trone will teach nutrition science and evidence-based habit-changing practices so that you will gain knowledge of how your brain and body react to food, the science of sugar in the body, weight loss scientifically explained, and best practices to reduce or remove sugar from the diet. Note: There will be 3 class sessions with 2 weeks in-between each session so that students will have time to practice new skills.
