During this course, participants will learn about estimating and preparing a bid, change orders, earned value, certified payroll, budgeting and material cost tracking. The course will cover
construction accounting, cost codes, invoices and lien waivers as well as application for payment and schedule of values. Participants will learn to determine hard costs and manage cash flow. The contractors of Colorado have teamed up with Front Range Community College to offer specific courses to help you develop your contracting business, and this course is the 5th in a series of 11 courses in which you will learn from the experts. The first five courses will be offered in the spring of 2022, and the remaining six courses will be offered in the fall of 2022. Thanks to a generous Skill Advance Colorado Job Training Grant given to the HCC Contractor Academy and Front Range Community College, as well as a sponsorship from the City and County of Denver Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO), the courses are highly discounted.
