This course will cover the legal issues surrounding human resources which includes hiring, state and federal employment requirements, labor sourcing and community programs for hiring. The course will teach participants to develop an employee handbook. Content includes safety regulations and emergency preparedness. We will cover 401K and new employer laws, compliance with employee and employer guidelines, HR legal requirements and federal, state and local laws. The contractors of Colorado have teamed up with Front Range Community College to offer specific courses to help you develop your contracting business, and this course is the 11th in a series of 11 courses in which you will learn from the experts. The first five courses were offered in the spring of 2022, and the remaining six courses are being offered in the fall of 2022. Thanks to a generous Skill Advance Colorado Job Training Grant given to the HCC Contractor Academy and Front Range Community College, as well as a sponsorship from the City and County of Denver Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO), the courses are highly discounted.
